Iris Castillo is originally from Panama, but she lives and works in Guatemala. She has a degree in applied arts at the University of Panama and in fine arts at the Technical Institute of Rochester. The mixed media artist develops her work through textile or fiber art, ceramic design and painting. She took part in individual and collective exhibitions in various countries, among them Panama, the United States, the Dominican Republic and Guatemala.

Panameña residente en Guatemala. Docente formada en las Artes Aplicadas por la Universidad de Panamá y en Bellas Artes por el Instituto Tecnológico de Rochester. Artista de medios mixtos quien desarrolla su obra a través del arte en fibra o textil, el diseño cerámico y la pintura. Ha participado en exposiciones personales y colectivas en varios países como Panamá, Estados Unidos, República Dominicana y Guatemala.
