Andrea Monroy Palacios is an architect and since 2011 also works as an artist, having showcased in various collectives and known art spaces. She develops her work with different techniques tackling diverse themes that range from gender, memory-history to textile art. Her textile work stands out through investigation, design, and production of “huipiles”.

Nace, vive y trabaja en Guatemala. Es Arquitecta Cum Laude por la Universidad Francisco Marroquín. Desde el 2011 inicia su incursión formal en el medio artístico exponiendo en diferentes muestras colectivas y lugares de arte reconocidos. Desarrolla su obra a través de diferentes técnicas o medios, abordando temas diversos que van desde el género, la historia-memoria y arte textil. En este último destacan sus creaciones a partir de la investigación, diseño y producción de huipiles.
