2012 New School Social Justice Retreat (Aug. 24–26) – Apply Now!
Dear New School Students,
Happy end of the semester from the University Student Senate (USS)! Thanks to a group of dedicated students, faculty, and staff and with support from the USS, the Provost’s Office, and Lang College, we are excited to announce that the 2nd annual New School Social Justice Retreat will take place August 24–26, 2012 at the NY YMCA/Greenkill Retreat Center in Huguenot, New York.
The retreat will consist of 2 1/2 days dedicated to community building, shared learning, and planning to strengthen our social justice organizing and activism in the spirit of the mission and tradition of The New School. The retreat is free to all participants (food, housing, and transportation included). Participants will be expected to commit to sustaining efforts throughout the 2012–13 school year through engagement with student-generated projects. Learn more about last year’s retreat here:
Applications are being accepted now through July 16, 2012.
Any New School student who will be registered for courses in fall 2012 is eligible. To apply, simply sign in to your New School email account, go to the Google Form link below, complete and submit the online application: tinyurl.com/83slmu6. Remember: since this is a Google form, you must log in to your New School Google account in order to access the application.
