The PALEYDOCFEST2012 Pitch Workshop – deadline for entries August 15th 2012

New York, NY—The Paley Center for Media today announced a call for entries for its celebrated Art of the Documentary Pitch Workshop atPALEYDOCFEST2012, which will be held at the Paley Center in New York on Saturday, October 20, 2012. In this workshop/competition—now in its ninth year—a panel of documentary executives and producers discuss the process of developing a documentary and will hear and evaluate pitches from five preselected up-and-coming filmmakers who are hoping to sell either a nonfiction concept or a documentary work-in-progress. The winner of the pitch competition in October will receive a $5,000 grant to be used towards the completion of their project.
This call for entries is to be selected as one of the five filmmakers who will participate in the workshop in October.

The Art of the Documentary Pitch Workshop is part of PALEYDOCFEST, the Paley Center’s annual Festival celebrating the documentary—featuring premieres, works-in-progress, classic documentaries, the pitch workshop and special events—which will take place this October.
