“Over the Top TV” on the Internet: New Business Models, New International Rules?

The emergence of Over-the-Top video delivery and other internet developments has led to a debate over the first major changes to the International Telecommunication Regulations (ITRs) since the 1980s.
The conference is scheduled to coincide with the UN’s Fall General Assembly and the UN’s Broadband Commission.
This conference will discuss the emerging changes in the world’s television – online, global, on-demand – with new players, new business models, and new regulatory issues
Hamadoun Touré – Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU)
Sen. Stephen Conroy – Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Australia
Lawrence Strickling – Administrator, National Telecommunications & Information Administration (NTIA)
Other speakers include academic, governmental, and industry representatives from France, Germany, Silicon Valley, Costa Rica, Switzerland, Taiwan, Wall Street, OTT providers, and the telecom and cable TV industries.
