Critical Themes Organizing Committee, Wednesday October, 3rd
On Wednesday October 3rd, the School of Media Studies will be holding its first organizing meeting for the annual Critical Themes Conference. Since the initial conference in 2000, Critical Themes has grown into a leading forum for showcasing research papers from graduate students around the world. This year we will continue the tradition of providing a venue for students to present interdisciplinary, theoretical and critical approaches to a broad range of media-related topics. We are actively seeking motivated student volunteers to assist in all aspects of conference planning and implementation, including copywriting, outreach, abstract grading, web and print design, videography, social media maintenance and volunteer coordination. It is a great chance to work with other media studies students and professors, gain event management experience, and engage in discussions with other dedicated media theorists.
If you are interested in submitting a paper, volunteering, or just learning more about the conference come to our first meeting of the year!
Wednesday October, 3rd @ 7pm
2W 13th street, room 1210
