As you are all aware, the School of Media Studies at The New School, an institution of progressive education, strongly focuses on the intersection of theory and practice-based scholarship. In accordance with our tradition, we encourage M.A. students in the Media Studies program take this opportunity to showcase their theoretical and project-based work by submitting proposals that include short abstracts for papers and presentations on digital media projects (from artworks to apps, games and web-based works).
Critical Themes in Media Studies is a leading graduate student conference showcasing groundbreaking work for all over the globe. We would love to see media studies students at the New School represented among the top theorists and practitioners in the field of media studies presenting at our conference next spring.
