Public Relations Intern at cutlog NY

Term of Employment

Immediate hire. January 2013 – May 2013

Commitment

Minimum 15 hours per week. Hours to increase first two weeks in May and during art fair (May 9-12). Hours are highly flexible. Unpaid, college credit available.

Position Description

cutlog NY is seeking creative, outgoing, and responsible team members to help carry out public relations activities for cutlog art fair. Candidates will work directly with the Marketing Consultant, and assist Co-Director and NY gallery coordinator.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Photoshop
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills, perfect English speaking and writing skills a must for this position.
  • Working knowledge of standard verbal and written communications practices, as well as various social media platforms (including Twitter, Facebook and WordPress)
  • Advances research skills
  • Ability to work in a small office environment as well as public arenas
  • Experience in pitches to blogs and media outlets for coverage is a plus.
  • Must bring laptop and a cell phone if possible.
