New Challenge is an annual competition for students of The New School who are committed to working on social and environmental challenges on a local or global scale in innovative ways. Its purpose is to allow students the chance to develop socially innovative ideas and produce tangible real-world projects, products, organizations, and the like aimed at solving problems in their communities. This year, New Challenge received 98 submissions representing nearly 200 New School students from across the University. Hear the seven New Challenge finalists pitch their ideas on March 8th (2-4 pm) in the Kellen Auditorium, and then celebrate the winners with a panel of thought leaders who are shaping new contexts for social innovation on March 13, 2013 (6-9 pm) in the Theresa Lang Center.
