INTERNSHIPS FOR DOCUMENTARY PRODUCTION
We are looking for interns!
An exciting new feature documentary is seeking interns with serious interest in documentary film and/or urban planning. Responsibilities include: general office coordination; assisting production secretary, associate producer and sometimes director; project research; general production coordination; participation in pre-production planning; assisting on shoot days; working as an apprentice-editor; post-production co-ordination; transcribing interviews; and archival research. We are very open to shaping the internship around your interests as well. Previous productions of the filmmaking team include ‘Valentino: The Last Emperor,’ ‘Koch: The Movie,’ and Martin Scorsese’s ‘Public Speaking.’
This feature documentary will examine Jane Jacobs’s life and career, weaving biographical elements of the Jacobs story into a bigger-picture narrative of the history of cities, the issues facing cities today, and the future of urbanization.
Prospective interns must be available for at least two days per week for three months, starting immediately. We will offer a $10/day transportation stipend and/or course credit. Great opportunity for students interested in documentary filmmaking!
