MASTER CLASS with BENH ZEITLIN

One of four events that constitutes the School of Media Studies’ annual Dorothy H. Hirshon film festival, the Master Class will feature 2013 Director in Residence Benh Zeitlin in an intimate classroom setting discussing a number of topics, including his early shorts as well as his first feature Beasts of the Southern Wild (2013), which won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival, the Camera D’Or at Cannes, and was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. The class will also include a workshop component.
Seating for this event is extremely limited. Interested students must RSVP by sending an email to nhirshonfestival@gmail.com. We expect this event to fill very quickly so you should respond immediately if you are interested in attending and participating. Please include “Zeitlin MC” in email header. You should also indicate which program/department at The New School you are affiliated with. Students will receive an email confirmation of their status in the Master Class.
