Asian Student Society of The New School presents
Towards Peace in East Asia:
A Discussion on the history of political tensions on the Korean Peninsula and the Application of Orientalist traditions by American culture.
Join us for a panel discussion on the current military and political conflicts on the Korean Peninsula. we will also have a conversation around the ways that U.S. media has portrayed the current situation and people involved in the conflicts, as well as how such racialized or Orientalized representations impact the ways in which East Asian immigrants are perceived within the American cultural framework.
