Project Assistant / Videographer
The New School for Public Engagement Office of the Executive Dean is seeking a student to film and edit footage from the NSPE public programs. The job would include filming select events at The New School as well as working with new and old footage to create promotional videos, teasers, and condensed versions of events. This student employee would report to the Director of Public Programs and work approximately 5-7 hours per week. All work would be done on-site at events or remotely, so students should be comfortable with free lance and independent work.
Candidates must supply a sample of work to Pam Tillis at TillisP@newschool.edu with some information contextualizing the project and specifying the candidate’s role in the production and editing.
Candidates should have experience filming events professionally and editing footage for promotional purposes. Candidates should have at least two more years left as students at The New School and be comfortable with a 2+ year commitment for this position. Candidates should have access to post production software, either through The New School or personally. Candidates do not need to supply their own camera, but access to a professional grade camera with HD capacity is a plus.
