Job Opportunity: Assistant Media Planner

Overview:

iCrossing is looking for a motivated individual to join our New York Digital Media team as an Assistant Media Planner.

 

The Assistant Media Planner builds on the skills of the Display Media Coordinator and continues to perform those duties as necessary. The position evolves to include specific responsibilities for documentation, planning materials organization and execution of media buys.

 

Responsibilities:

Media Skills

  •  Manages the organization of RFPs
  • Creates Client Media Authorization (CMA) upon plan approval
  • Manages and creates insertion orders
  • Filters research findings and converts to actionable media insights
  • Develops basic target profiles/insights
  • Prepares trafficking sheets
  • Maintains trafficking sheets through campaign and all optimizations
  • Understands media math and how to apply calculations; proficiency in working with and managing numbers
  • Stewards media buys in market to assure continuity and campaign delivery

 

Project Management

  •  Create and maintain detailed/accurate files for each client for whom you are responsible
  • Demonstrates highly organized campaign/timeline management, with strong attention to detail
  • Assists in the QA of ads placed

 

Communication Skills

  •  Ability to communicate owned areas of campaigns, both orally and in writing
  • Active participant in sales representative meetings
  • Evolves relationships with sales community

 

Client Management

  •  Attends client meetings for informational purposes (in a passive role), as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining client status docs and gathering inputs

 

Teamwork/People/Corporate Citizenship

  •  Positively participates in team environment
  • Gives and receives critical feedback gracefully
  • Builds relationships with relevant partners in agency
  • Positive spokesperson for the agency
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing needs of client/department/agency

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 6 -18 months experience working specifically within a digital media department
  • Passion for digital marketing
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Knowledgeable in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and with general Web based interfaces
  • Experience working with DART for Advertisers or other relevant 3rd party Adserver
