Internship: Production Interns Needed for Feature Film
The independent feature film “The Heart Machine” is looking for enthusiastic office interns to work during the pre-production stage, starting July 29th.
The movie is the first feature of writer/director Zach Wigon and is produced by Lucas Joaquin (Keep the Lights On, Beast of the Southern Wild) and Alex Scharfman (Keep the Lights On, Playback). Jay Van Hoy and Lars Knudsen of Parts and Labor are Exec. Producers.
The interns will be doing general administrative tasks, running errands and learning and working closely with the production team. Because of the nature of the film, they will also get experience in learning product placement and legal clearance. Principal photography begins on August 16th and a couple of interns will have the opportunity to observe and assist on set.
Applicants should be prepared to commit from two to three full days per week and should be able to get school credit.
Although experience is not required, those applying should have a keen interest in film producing and an enthusiasm for independent cinema. This is a great opportunity for young filmmakers to be involved in different areas of a feature production.
