Editor Needed for Documentary Project

Filmmaker Partha Bhattacharya is looking for an individual to edit footage he’s filmed for a documentary entitled “Tagore-the Poet of Eternity,” which was inspired by the UN/UNESCO declaration made in 2009 that the sesquicentennial birth anniversary of world poet Rabindranath Tagore in May 2011 would be celebrated world wide.

Bhattacharya has the permission of the UNESCO Deputy Director General to use footage from his inaugural address in Paris. Additionally, the president of India, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Prince Charles, Jane Goodall, and Dr. Deepak Chopra all appear in the video.

When completed the film will be distributed to student communities and selected colleges and universities free of cost. Various Professors at SUNY, New Paltz have seen the preview video fully and are impressed with the artistic quality of the work and the range of participants  interviewed.

Right now an editor is needed – an individual versed in Final Cut who can put together the final cut of the film.  Pay is estimated at $1000.00 but is negotiable. The editing process is estimated to take about a week’s worth of work.
