Please join us for a screening and Q and A with three filmmakers from the past two years of the Documentary Studies program at The New School. Now in its eighth year, the Graduate Certificate in Documentary Studies has produced a remarkable new generation of talented non-fiction filmmakers from around the world and across the U.S.
Sam Allen and I Want to Open Eyeballs, 2013, 21 min The graffiti palace of 5 Pointz, Queens.
Piibe Kolka and 540 Nanometers, 2012, 13 min The night astronomers of New York City.
Danielle Chu and Hattie, 2012, 20 min Portrait of a 75-year-old romantic heroine.
The program will be introduced by Deanna Kamiel, director of the Doc Studies certificate program, and will include a post-screening Q and A with the filmmakers.
