Columbia Media Conference Oct. 26
The Columbia Spectator is pleased to invite faculty and students from the New School to join us for our second annual Columbia Media Conference on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 1-6 p.m. in Lerner Cinema. CMC allows participants to listen to, meet, and network with leaders from both the content and business sides of the media industry. It is a wonderful opportunity for students and young professionals who may wish to pursue a career in media, journalism, and communication.
Panel topics will be on the changing landscape of careers in media, modern media revenue strategies, and political journalism. Speakers will include Alex Witt, the host of MSNBC’s “Weekends with Alex Witt,” Michael Roston, Staff Editor of Social Media at the New York Times, and Joe Ruffolo, Senior Vice President of Digital News at ABC. Recruiters from companies and graduate schools such as ABC news, the Columbia Journalism School, and the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism will also be on site throughout the event to speak to students.
