Dawnja Burris recently presented at the annual Institute for Critical Animal Studies Conference on April 12 at Rice University. Her paper entitled “Animal Instances: Representation of and Relationship with the Non-Human Animal” deals with the ways in which imagery and representation of the non-human animal servers as a site of contact between humans and nature.
