El Dorado Wines- Logo Design Contest

Calling all Creatives!

The El Dorado Winery Association is looking for a new visual identity and needs your help. We are seeking artists who can design a new, creative, innovative, professional logo to promote the brand El Dorado Wines and increase the recognition of El Dorado County’s wine region as a quality wine experience and destination. Please read below for more details regarding design, contest rules, and submission requirements.

PRIZE: $2,500!

HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST:
In order for your entry to be submitted and reviewed by our judges, all entries must be:

1. Uploaded to this site by March 1, 2016

2. Submitted as a PDF or JPEG. Files should be NO BIGGER than 3mb. Full resolution files will be required of finalists only. Finalists will be notified by March 20th, 2016.

3. All files must be titled with your last name_logo name so that your artwork is associated with your entry. For example: Smith_grapelogo.jpg

REQUIREMENTS:

• Professional: The logo will be featured on our website, social media platforms, signage, and print mediums. As a result, the logo must be eye-catching, yet legible.

• Themes: The logo should effectively communicate one or more of the suggested “things to communicate” (see Creative Brief below).

• Color: There are no limitations and any colors may be used. However, logo and other brand elements must look good in color (if any) or black and white.

• Integrity: Elements of the logo cannot contain copyrighted material. All imagery must have been created and edited by the contestant. Logos may not include images or licensed images that have been previously published.

• Fonts: Any non-original fonts must be able to be licensed for commercial use.

• Formats: Final artwork must be easily reproducible and scalable for large and small formatting. Vector- based designs are encouraged. Any digital photographic elements must be 300dpi or greater and print clearly up to 11”x17”. If you are the winning designer, you will be required to submit your design in Photoshop (if digital) or Illustrator files (if vector). Please include font files if non-original fonts are used.
*For first-round submissions please upload a JPEG or PDF version of your logo NO BIGGER than 3mb. If you are chosen as a finalist, we will contact you for high-res files.

• Catch-phrase, slogans, verbiage (optional): The minimum requirement to enter this contest is submission of a logo design. However, you may submit supporting branding elements, slogans, catch-phrases, etc. in order to better express your vision of the brand. If you are the winner of this contest, ALL submitted material will fall under the ownership and use rights of the El Dorado Winery Association.

CONTEST DETAILS

Notifications: Submissions will be accepted through March 1, 2016. The winner will be announced via our website, social media, and by direct contact to the winner’s email account.

The winner will be selected by the El Dorado Winery Association. The winning contestant agrees that the El Dorado Winery Association may publish their visual identity and name and may use both for advertising campaigns and/or marketing materials in the future. Contestant assigns all ownership rights, including all intellectual property rights to the logo and all brand elements, to the El Dorado Winery Association. Additionally, the El Dorado Winery Association may alter, modify or revise the logo and all brand elements as it sees necessary to achieve the goals of the Association. The El Dorado Winery Association reserves the right to not select a winner if, in its sole discretion, no suitable entries are received.
