Summer Applications Now Open For DCTV Docu WIP Lab
Bring your documentary rough-cut to its next brilliant cut in Downtown Community Television Center’s Docu Work-In-Progress Lab! Submit your independent documentary projects that could highly benefit from dedicated feedback and crit-building germane to your editing process.
Docu WIP filmmakers will workshop each other’s work during four screening/discussion sessions, providing crucial insight for each other under the guidance of a professional filmmaker. Outside of these sessions, participants will cut two new iterations of their rough cut based on the discussions. Finally, participants will present their most refined cut on the final session which is a showcase for closing feedback with a special guest.
In June, six select filmmakers will meet with Emmy-Award winning filmmaker, Lana Wilson, to work on iterative versions of their documentary rough-cut to culminate for a final rough cut feedback session with a guest for crit.
Dates: 6/27, 6/29. 7/11, 7/13; 6:30pm – 9:30pm & 7/24; 11am – 5pm
