Admission Events Student Assistant Position

The  New School Admission Events department  is seeking a Graduate Assistant to assist with events such as information sessions, Grad Expo, Undergrad Expo, etc. and aid in facilitating events, customer service, and supporting the Assistant Director of Events. The schedule is flexible and the duties will vary based on projects which can include evenings and weekends. In addition to events, students will be assigned office hours to complete standard office tasks related to event organization and promotion such as e-invitations. Assistance will be needed to set-up and break-down events, dressing the stage (Tishman and similar spaces).

*Integrity, flexibility and polite with a great sense of humor.

*Detail-oriented & good organizational skills and flexibility.

*Edit/confirm logistical details such as reserve event spaces, AV, catering, and facilities.

*Update and maintain the Event Google documents, calendar, and monitor RSVPs                          and Track attendance at events.

*Demonstrated ability to perform well in a busy start up environment.

*Follow up with students & guests who attend events and send out surveys after events.

*Proficiency in Microsoft Office

*Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AV/Media background a plus

*Knowledge of marketing and/event planning knowledge is preferred. Familiarity with social media is desired  (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
