Position Summary:
Manage all aspects of Media Services for 1,800 to 2,000 Law School events each academic year, inclusive of half-million dollar budget. This position will meet client’s expectations concerning multimedia needs regarding special events planning and production. The position will also negotiate contracts with outside service providers, with final decision making authority and will be responsible for overseeing the media services portion of the special events budget. This position will keep the highest customer service standards in regards with representing the Law School and it will have a dual report to New York University’s School of Law ITS Department and The Conferencing and Special Events Office.
Qualifications/Required Education:
BA in Communications or related field.
Preferred Education:
Master’s degree
Required Experience:
3 years Live Production experience, project management, and managing staff in live production environment. Must have experience dealing with high profile clients. Experience providing customer support in media or audio/visual environment.
Preferred Experience:
– Knowledge of traditional and non-traditional media of all types
– Experience with metrics based planning, including third party serving set up and execution
– Excellent presentation skills and attention to detail- Strong organizational and leadership skills- Ability to communicate effective both verbally and in writing
– Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:(include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Must be familiar with relevant equipment and standard setups and protocols for producing live events. Must be able to work in fast paced environment. Must be able to multi-task. Excellent communications skills and customer service skills. Skilled at troubleshooting and performing moderately complex repairs. Ability to take initiative.
