About the Position:
The Per Scholas team is seeking a Manager, Marketing and Events to meet the marketing and event needs of our growing national organization. The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented manager who thrives when they are at the the focal point of ensuring an event or convening motivates others to take action. They deeply value the importance of what a brand conveys and are committed to ensuring that all stakeholders have a consistent experience through various touch points. The Manager, Marketing and Events will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and manage one team member.
What You’ll Do:
Work with Digital Marketing manager and consultants to execute against Per Scholas’ communications strategy; consultants include but not limited to graphic design, website, data analyst, and special projects (i.e. video production); collaborate closely with internal operations, development and site leaders to align with objectives.
In conjunction with the Manager, Digital Marketing, respond to the ongoing marketing requests and needs of the organization
Project Manage the Student Ambassador program
Ensure that communications strategy performs against defined goals and milestones that impact organization’s objectives and growth, regionally and nationally
Oversee brand consistency of all internal and external brand elements across 6 national sites including all messaging, collateral, and social media
In conjunction with the Manager, Digital Marketing, create and edit collateral on a needs basis using InDesign and PowerPoint templates
Manage editorial calendar appropriately
Be the final eyes on external communication, social media, and brand elements, responsible for checking grammar, language, and brand and messaging consistency.
Coordinate all external fundraising and brand-building events. Includes event logistics, vendor and partner coordination, project management of the appropriate internal teams, guest list management, follow up plan, and more
Coordinate internal organizational activities including onboarding, retreats, board meetings and other stakeholder events. Responsibilities include managing travel itineraries, distributing meeting agendas, and overseeing all associated logistics
Act as a liaison with National Board and outside agencies, including high-level staff such as CEOs, presidents and senior vice presidents
Update and maintain updated information for organizational contacts using Google Apps and salesforce
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly and in a timely manner (both verbally and in writing)
Experience managing logistics for a range of successful brandraising and fundraising events
Proven graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite
Team management experience a plus
Detail oriented, with exceptional organizational skills
Skilled Google Apps User
Experience working in a fast-paced administrative capacity
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with high-level executives on regular basis
Exhibits sound judgment in decision making, able to independently prioritize workload
Desire and aptitude for taking on new and more complex tasks and projects
Experience handling sensitive or confidential information
Ability to quickly learn and master new technology
Salesforce experience a plus
