Element Film Festival: Call For Submissions
Element Film Festival is now accepting submissions!
Element Film Festival is an annual student film festival produced by the students of Montana State University’s Science and Natural History Film MFA program. Selected films focus on topics such as science, natural history, technology, conservation, culture, and the people who work in these fields. The director or producer must be a currently enrolled student, or at least 80 percent of the film must have been completed while the filmmaker was a student attending an accredited university.
Element will take place on November 4th, 2016 at the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture in downtown Bozeman, Montana. Our submission deadline is September 20th. Filmmakers will be notified if their film has been selected on or before October 10th, 2016.
Selected films will be judged by a panel of filmmakers, experts, and local Bozeman community members who will choose the “Judge’s Selection” winner. There will also be an “Audience Selection” winner as well as cash prizes.
Element Film Festival is a great way for emerging filmmakers to showcase their work. We feel that student filmmakers are stretching the limits of what film is capable of and are creating stories that are innovative and inspiring. Element Film Festival was created for these student filmmakers, and we look forward to featuring their work.
