Shindig is Hiring a Business Development Associate

This role reports directly to the CEO & Senior Director of Business Development. You are responsible for creating, maintaining and growing new client relationships. Duties include prospecting leads, initiating outbound contacts, qualifying inbound leads and doing daily discovery calls.

In this position you will work closely with our project management and business development team. Your primary objective is to share Shindig’s value proposition with prospective clients as well as convert them through the sales cycle. The ideal candidate would have one to two years business development experience and/or sales experience selling to higher education or media companies.

You should be a creative & driven individual with a passion for competition and meeting new challenges. You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment. You’re a self-starter enthusiastic to join a team reinventing education and communications.

Candidate Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS or BBA)

1-3 years experience working in business development or sales (preferably with higher education, technology media and online media)

Strong speaker with experience selling SAAS model platforms

Excellent written and oral communication skills a must

Strong organizational skills with ability to work in a very fast paced environment
Fast-learner and keen attention to detail

Proficient in Google Drive

Experience with partnerships a plus

Must be self-motivated, proactive and a team player
