Candidates should have an interest in PFLAG NYC’s mission to support the families and friends of LGBTQ individuals, and engaging students in NYC public schools.

You should have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with a plus. Comfort with web technologies (Mailchimp, WordPress, etc.) a plus. Strong writing and organizational skills are important.

A potential intern should be comfortable working independently but also working with a supervisor.

This is a volunteer unpaid internship. We encourage you to use this internship to gain course credit and to seek out “work-study” grants with your college, if that is an option. We will assist in any way we can.

In the cover letter you should tell us why you want to be part of PFLAG NYC, about your experience, what you hope to learn, and the days and hours you can work.
