Media Studies Professor Mort Scharfman’s production company, TWO MAD MEN TV, specializes in the latest and booming TV genre, Branded Entertainment Content. It’s a hybrid of a sitcom and an infomercial Scharman has copyrighted called the “Sitcommercial.” The first such half-hour show is now in post-production. Check out the website here!
Raúl Rubio, Associate Professor of Hispanic Studies and Chair of Foreign Languages, authored a chapter in “Racial and Ethnic Identities in the Media” (Palgrave, 2016). The chapter is titled “Stand-up Comedy, Beyond the Stage: Mediated Ethnicity, Sexuality, and Citizenship.”
