ULC Seeks Computer Programming Tutor

University Learning Center: OCSE / FWS position

Primary Responsibilities:

Tutor undergraduate and graduate students in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other programming languages you are fluent in. Work with students of varying skill levels— from demonstrating the basics to assisting with complex problems. Complete small administrative tasks, such as writing brief descriptions of each session. Other opportunities include leading in-class workshops and/or specialized ULC workshops.


Tutors must have strong knowledge of computer programming and a high level of expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Knowledge of additional programming languages highly preferred. Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at The New School. Prior tutoring experience preferred.

Salary & Scheduling:

Pay rate is $17.00/hour. Tutors must be available to work at least 6-10 hours per week. The tutoring schedule fluctuates with demand, and we work with your schedule when assigning you hours.
