“Frank Serpico”: Free Documentary Screening
In the early 70s, NYPD undercover cop Frank Serpico blew the whistle on the corruption and payoffs then rampant in the police department. The heroism that nearly cost him his life, was immortalized in the classic film Serpico starring Al Pacino. Now in the documentary Frank Serpico, Antonino D’Ambrosio presents the story of the real Serpico, who revisits his crusading cops and robbers days, and an iconoclastic life.
Come out and see the documentary that was a Tribeca Film Festival favorite and The New Yorker called “wondrous.” Come see it on October 23rd at 6PM at NYIT, for a complimentary screening of the film and exclusive Q&A with D’Ambrosio, its award-winning director before it premiers at IFC theaters.
