December Fall Thesis Collective Meeting
Happy December everyone! Come and join the last Thesis Collective meeting of the fall semester!
The fourth and final Thesis Collective meeting of the fall semester will be on Friday December 8th from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM – location: 79 Fifth Avenue (the Media Studies Loft), Room 1618 (the classroom right in front of the elevators).
Students in the Thesis Tutorial Lab will present on their work in progress each session and students in Thesis Supervision and Thesis Proposal are also invited to present and discuss.
The Thesis Collective is a student-led group comprised of students in Thesis Proposal, Thesis Tutorial Lab and ThesisSupervision.
- Students are welcome to network, discuss, plan, present, and receive feedback on their work.
- All students in any one of these three stages are welcome, but we also encourage and welcome students who are interested in pursuing the thesis track as well! UPDATE: Students who are pursuing the independent research/production track are also strongly encouraged to come to these meetings, present material, and get feedback on their works in progress.
- The meetings are very flexible and students are encouraged to talk amongst each other to determine how best to schedule the agendas for each meeting.
- Snacks and refreshments will be served as well!
We always encourage students to present their current research and their works in progress. To this end we ask that students let us know beforehand if they want to present. For the first ThesisCollective meeting we ask that anyone who wants to present on his/her research please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org In general, the Wednesday before the ThesisCollective meeting is when we ask for students to inform us that they plan to present, but we will indicate if this changes at any point in the semester.
We hope this semester will be productive and enjoyable for you all and we hope to see you at each of the meetings this semester!
