gnovis Call for Paper Spring 2018
Georgetown University’s Communication, Culture & Technology graduate program is currently accepting submissions for the Spring 2018 issue of gnovis, our student-operated, peer-reviewed academic journal.
About the Journal
gnovis is devoted to interdisciplinary scholarship at the intersection of communication, culture, and technology. Published once each semester, our mission is to foster a spirit of curiosity, collaboration, and conversation among emerging 21s t century scholars.
gnovis is proud to feature some of the best graduate scholarship from across the country, with past submissions accepted from institutions such as Georgetown University, NYU Steinhardt, Indiana University, and the University of Delaware.
Submission Criteria
gnovis welcomes submissions of original research from graduate students. Papers and projects may address a wide range of subjects, including, but not limited to: science and technology studies, cultural criticism, cultural identity and politics, traditional and new medias, politics and government, art and technology, mediated communication and digital representation, and more.
To be considered for the Spring 2018 issue, all prospective materials must be submitted no later than Friday, February 2, 2018, at 11:59 p.m. Submissions should be in Times New Roman 12pt font, double-spaced. Citations should include in-text, parenthetical citations (author, date, pg. #) and an alphabetized end bibliography according to the CMS style guide, which can be referenced here. Full submissions, including abstract and bibliography, should be between 15-20 pages. Questions and concerns may be directed to Ellen Kaufman, Managing Editor, at gnovis@georgetown.edu.
