Job Description:

  • Assist the Coordinator of Communication and Events with the planning and execution events; expected to work evening shifts as scheduled
    ● Assist with in-person and telephone inquiries
    ● Direct calls/emails/requests for faculty, administrators, or other departments/programs
    ● Assist with updating SMS blog and news portals
    ● Assist with clerical support for SMS staff and faculty as assigned, including data entry, filing, faxing, and photocopying
    ● Make daily interdepartmental deliveries to offices within the division and to Financial
    Aid, Registration, Records, and other Central Administration offices in buildings
    throughout the university.
    ● Other duties as assigned.

    ● Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
    ● Proactive and able to use good judgment
    ● Good written and oral communication skills
    ● Excellent customer service skills
    ● Professional ‘front office’ appearance
    ● Good keyboarding and editing skills; familiar with Microsoft Office and Google Apps
    ● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    ● Strong attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks

The position is for 10-20 hours per week, beginning March
2018. Hours needed: 9 a.m. – 10 p.m., Monday – Friday
