Envisioning Holograms: Designing Breakthrough Experiences for Mixed Reality

Designing for mixed reality is a completely new experience for everyone involved, and takes some experimentation to get right. You won’t nail your first mixed reality project by relying solely on your previous mobile or web design expertise as a guide. Mixed reality requires a different kind of design thinking for its unique challenges. That starts with Envisioning.

Led by Mike Pell, Envisioneer for the Microsoft Garage, this fast-paced, interactive, keynote will explore the approach, techniques, and mindshift needed to design truly breakthrough experiences for mixed reality (the seamless blending of digital content into the physical world in realistic and natural ways). Following the talk, NYC Media Lab’s Justin Hendrix will sit down with Pell to discuss the many ways in which mixed reality design is impacting the media and technology industry.
