Virtual Futures: Near Future Fictions

Virtual Futures presents the first New York City edition of Near-Future Fictions on April 6!

Continuing their mission to reassert the significance of science-fiction as a tool for navigating our interactions with technology in the future, the event aims to bring together American and English writers to delve beneath the Big Apple’s luminescent veneer. By exploring the near future through an academic introduction, a short story reading by each author and a moderated panel discussion, the goal is to cast light on how technological innovations lurking around the corner will affect our lives. RSVP for an evening of starting the future deep in the eyes and challenging everything it seems to promise.

Featured speakers: Tim Maughan, Joanne McNeil, Brendan C. Bryne, Jennifer Marie Brissett

Friday, April 6th, 7pm to 9pm @ Wollman Hall, Eugene Lang College (65 West 11th Street Room B500, New York, NY 10003)

RSVP on facebook and eventbrite
