FILM INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY
This summer, the narrative feature film About That Night, is shooting at Trinity College. The story is something that’s all too familiar.
A freshman girl wakes up after a drunken campus party and discovers that she may have been raped. She remembers nothing. And everyone she questions has a different story. What happened? Who’s guilty? And how does she take back her life?
We have designed a seven week program (July 9 – August 24) where we will train students to crew. Students will be mentored by professionals and will work in the Production Office under the Production Manager, in the G&E Department under the Gaffer, and in the Art Department under the Art Director and the Costume Designer. Students will have real jobs, real responsibilities and real credits that they can use to get jobs on features when they graduate. We are also casting small parts in the film out of our pool of interns.
Student interns can participate in several ways – they can pay a fee to receive transferable college credit from Trinity or they can participate for free without college credit. They may also participate through any internship program already set up on their own campuses. However they come to us, they will receive credit on the film, room and board on campus and have a wonderful experience.
This is a film for college students about college students to be filmed with college students on a college campus. We will all be living together in the dorms, working together on the film and making a film about issues that affect students all over the country. We are looking for students who are passionate about film and about this issue. Please send us a brief email about why you’d be interested in being part of our project, whether you need college credit or not and what if any experience you have in theatre, film or TV. Please put ATN Intern in the subject line.
