Sumita Chakravarty announces the launch of her new research initiative: http://www.m2lab.net
How does the experience of movement and migration make meaning, transmit messages, and reorder our social and political environments? In what ways does migration orient ideas and information: about nation and world, self and society, art and culture? How do migration practices relate to the governing metaphors of our time?
The M2Lab is an experimental space to explore such questions in an open-ended way. Our mission is to incubate project agendas for innovative ideas and solutions relating to migration.
CFP — CALL FOR PROJECTS AND PARTNERSHIPS
We are interested in building a global network of media practitioners and scholars whose work addresses migration as an existential, political, philosophical, or symbolic phenomenon.
If you or someone in your network would like to contribute to this ongoing work, please contact us at chakravs@newschool.edu
