Call for Papers: University of Pittsburgh Film Studies Grad Conference

The University of Pittsburgh’s Film and Media Studies Grad Student Organization is currently organizing their fall conference, “No More Room in Hell: A Half-Century of Undead Media” and invite SMS students to submit their papers.

They are particularly interested in submissions that engage Film, TV, New Media, Feminist and Queer Studies, Visual Culture, Literature, Critical Theory, Communications, and Historiography.

The conference will take place September 28th-29th, 2018, and Sarah Juliet Lauro from the University of Tampa will deliver the keynote address.

Call for Papers | Deadline: June 30th, 201

Interested graduate students may submit abstracts (maximum 500 words) – along with institutional/department affiliations and current email –pittfilmgradconference@gmail.com by June 30, 2018. We also invite creative submissions (film, video, installation) responding to our theme in forms others than the traditional conference paper. If you go this route, please submit a description (maximum 500 words) that includes spatial, temporal, and technological requirements.
