A WHALE OF A TALE is about the sleepy fishing town of Taiji, Japan which was descended upon by animal activists protesting Taiji’s longstanding whale and dolphin hunting traditions after THE COVE won an Academy Award.
The film raises questions about cultural sensitivity in the face of global activism, and sparks dialogue about the impact of documentary storytelling on a community.
