Job Brief
Motivated, self-starter intern will help manage social media, email, and content-based marketing efforts. Candidate must be able to be onsite at least part-time and position is ideal for a student who in addition to compensation can receive full academic credit for this internship. The position can lead to a permanent position after internship. The candidate should have an eye for aesthetics, the persistence to tackle problems in a productive and efficient manner, and the temperament for collaboration.

Position
Social Media Intern reports to CEO, works with all members of the Collective and marketing team.

Responsibilities:

Monitors and maintains SoHarlem’s social media presence;

Works closely with CEO and Fundraising Professional to ensure that SoHarlem’s social media integrates the new marketing designs and message across all platforms (SoHarlem website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Etsy, Vimeo, YouTube, linkedin, Pinterest, and Tumblr, etc), to maintain continuity in SoHarlem’s fundraising campaigns;

Assists Creative Entrepreneurs in establishing and maintaining social media platforms;

Helps determine and fully implement weekly social media strategy;

Works with marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategy;

Works with Creative Entrepreneurs to create social media content (i.e., conceive and style post, for blog posts, social media sites);

Assists in producing email newsletters and eblasts; and

Assists with ad hoc marketing efforts.

Qualifications

Familiarity with content management systems (i.e., WordPress);

Experienced with Adobe Creative Suite a plus

Highly organized and able to manage many cross platforms

Experienced with using various Social Media platforms for Marketing such as, Hootsuite
