LANG CESJ Program Offers Opportunity for Exclusive NYC Screening of “America to Me”

Help seed a national conversation around issues of race, education and equity.   Real talk that leads to real action that leads to real change.

Lang’s Civic Engagement and Social Justice Program has been offered a select amount of seats to the exclusive NYC screening of  America to Me, a new docu-series on Starz. America to Me is receiving widespread acclaim for how it examines racial and class inequities in a progressive, integrated public high school school in Chicago.

The screening will be at the Schomberg Center for Research on Black Culture on Saturday, September 8th. There is a 3:00 – 3:45pm reception followed by the panel and screening from 4:00pm – 6:30pm.

Those who attend the screening will be invited to attend an exclusive watch leader workshop, led by IntegrateNYC, to be held at The New School University Center next Saturday, September 15th. The workshop will train folks to lead community conversations around the themes that the docu-series tackles.

Please RSVP for the screening here. You’ll receive a follow up confirmation once you do.
