TNS Faculty Member Deirdre Boyle to Speak at ReImagine Festival
Media Studies’ Deirdre Boyle will be speaking at one of the many art events being organized this week by ReImagine, a festival of 225 events across the city on the End of Life. She will be introducing a film by The Propeller Group. The Living Need Light, The Dead Need Music (2014) which was commissioned for Project 3 New Orleans. This stunning short work reveals uncanny links between traditional Vietnamese funeral rituals and New Orleans’ second line funeral bands. This free event is being co-sponsored by the Film Society of Lincoln Center and will be shown at the Eleanor Bunin Munroe Amphitheater at 144 West 65th St on Saturday, October 29th at 7 pm. All are welcome.
