HOW TO TELL GREAT STORIES WITH YOUR SMARTPHONE


Never before has video been such a powerful storytelling tool. And never before has one journalist armed with a smartphone and the right skills been so empowered to produce that video. That’s why they are pleased to invite you to their first Facebook Video: How to Tell Great Stories with your Smartphone, powered by the Facebook Journalism Project.

In this interactive workshop for journalism students, you’ll learn the latest mobile video techniques and best practices for producing compelling and creative news content on Facebook and Instagram.

The Format: Presentations and hands-on activities around mobile video, Instagram Stories, Facebook Live, 360° video, Creator Studio, and other tools, as well as a panel discussion with a video journalist.

When: Friday, Nov. 9, and Friday, Nov. 16, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This is a two-part curriculum taught over two days.

Check-in will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the program will start promptly at 11 a.m.

Lunch will be served.
