SMS Faculty Member Shannon Mattern Gives Two Talks in Montreal

Faculty Member Shannon Mattern will be giving two invited talks in Montreal this week. On November 1 she’ll be presenting “Machines, Ecologies, Operating Systems, and Parasites,” a talk on metaphors of urban intelligence, as part of the “What Can You Do With the Smart City” panel at the Canadian Centre for Architecture. And on November 3 she’ll be presenting “Encrypted Repositories: Techniques of Secret Storage from Desks to Databases” at the Phyllis Lambert Seminar on information architectures at the University of Montreal.
