Please join GIDEST on Friday, December 7, for a discussion with multi-disciplinary artist Andrea Geyer of her project, “On Dance Futures and Ghost Gestures.” Seminar participants are asked to prepare by viewing the videos and links in the PDF available for download at http://www.gidest.org/events/2018/12/7/andrea-geyer.

Andrea Geyer is a multi-disciplinary artist un-sensing the construction and politics of time, and a 2018-19 GIDEST Fellow. With a particular focus on those who identify or, at some point, were identified as woman, her works use photography, performance, video, sculpture, drawing, and painting to activate the lingering potential of specific events, places, or biographies. For her GIDEST project, Andrea is developing a choreography of bodily gestures of allegiance.
