Let’s celebrate women filmmakers! New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) has partnered with Go Indie TV to showcase the work of our talented membership through our second annual shorts festival. The 2019 festival features more than 50 short films, webisodes and TV pilots from women filmmakers from a variety of backgrounds. Genres run the gamut from comedy to drama, suspense to experimental, and we also feature a strong selection of documentaries. There is truly something for everyone – so sit back, relax for a few minutes and enjoy a short film!

All films feature a NYWIFT member in a key creative role. NYWIFT was founded in 1977 by a handful of women who saw a pressing need in New York for a networking and education forum for women in the entertainment industry. Today, NYWIFT’s diverse membership is now nearly 2,500 strong, made up of women and men who work in all aspects of television, film and digital media, from behind-the-scenes to in front of the camera to the executive suite.
