RAOUL PECK: 2019 Hirshon Artist In Residence
We are proud to welcome Raoul Peck as School of Media Studies‘ 2019 Hirshon Director-in-Residence. He is one of the most significant and prolific filmmakers of our time and has been richly rewarded for his historical, political, and artistic work. He will present his films and discuss his work at the public screening “Stolen Images” on Thursday, March 7, 2019. He will also offer Master Classes to School of Media Studies students.
The Dorothy Hirshon Artist-in-Residence program was established by the late New School trustee Dorothy Hirshon, to honor and promote excellence and education of the filmmaking arts at The New School. In addition to the public screening and talk, Raoul Peck will also hold master classes for New School students.
