Film Professor Greg Takoudes to Release New Book in May

Professor Greg Takoudes’ new book, The Collaborative Director: A Department-by-Department Guide to Filmmaking will be published in May 2019. A Routledge Press publication, the book examines the directing process through the lens of collaboration.  Each chapter explores a different film department, uses case studies of directors such as Robert Altman, Kelly Reichardt, and Paul Thomas Anderson, and includes interviews about the collaborative process with department heads from movies such as If Beale Street Could TalkGood Time, and Inside Llewyn Davis.

Intended for a range of readers — university-level film students, film enthusiasts, and working filmmakers — Takoudes’ book is available for pre-order on Amazon, and available more widely around the world on May 3. You can find more information on Takoudes’ work at takoudes.com
