Teaching Artist Job at DCTV

PRO-TV’s Summer Media Fellowship is the next program session taking place from July 8 – August 2. Refer to job responsibilities and qualifications listed below:

Job Responsibilities

PRO-TV supports our students artistic achievements as well as their personal development and individual growth.  In order to support our students needs and facilitate their success it is necessary to:

 

  • Teach students the art of filmmaking including but not limited to:
  • Media literacy
  • Technical Training (camera operation, sound, editing, post-production techniques)
  • Maintaining proper usage (supervision) and maintenance of equipment
  • Facilitate constructive criticism and feedback sessions

 

Qualifications

  • Expertise in field production with digital video cameras, including Sony NX30U and AX33, Canon 5D/7D and FS700 cameras;
  • Expertise in non-linear editing with Adobe Premiere and/or Avid;
  • At least one year of experience teaching film production and post-production
  • Experience working with a diverse public with varying levels of technical skill
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented
  • Availability to work Monday – Friday, 10:30AM – 5:30PM
