4 Online Resources Offered by The New School
All New School students have access to all the online university libraries . A valid New School photo ID is required to use the libraries. A full list of Library Resources as a graduate student can be found here.
2) Lynda.com
Lynda.com is a well sought online resource by students. All New School students have access to Lynda.com via their New School registration. Here are the steps you need to follow to access lynda.com.
The University Learning Center (ULC) is a free tutoring service offered by the university to students. The ULC offers support in subjects including Writing, Math, Time Management, Adobe, etc. Online students and those unable to make it to the ULC office in person can request Zoom appointments. Students must first schedule an appointment on Starfish, then email learningcenter@newschool.edu the session details at least three business hours in advance, so they are aware that an online session is being requested.
Without advance notice, the ULC may be unable to set up the Zoom session during the first 20 minutes of the appointment, which could result in a “no-show.” Students must also paste their paper and, if possible, their assignment sheet into a shared Google Doc before their appointment.
4) Other Learning Resources:
Adobe Creative Cloud Access and IT Learning Services
Other learning resources provided by The New School IT are the applications include Dropbox, Qualtrics and the full subscription of the full Adobe Suite Creative Cloud Applications. Â
